"The Coca-Cola Co. created an advertising campaign that seems to feature the voice of Johnny Cash without authorization or providing compensation, the country music star’s estate claims.

The estate’s case, grounded in a Tennessee law dubbed the ELVIS Act, arises from a national ad campaign launched by the soft drink maker in August to coincide with the start of the college football season.

An advertising agency, acting on Coca-Cola’s behalf, hired a Johnny Cash tribute singer to record a vocal track “for the specific purpose of ensuring that the Infringing Ad sounded as close as possible” to the late singer, ...”
